Our Mission

Most of the people we work with built something. A shop, a payroll, a family, a crew. A career someone else would call a job. A home that took eleven years to pay off. They did it without a playbook and most of it without much help.

By the time they find us, the questions have usually changed. It is no longer how to grow the thing. It is what happens to it and to the people who depend on it. Those questions do not sort neatly into categories. They show up as a tax question one month and a retirement plan question the next. Underneath all of them is the same root: what the next twenty years look like or the next fifty, and how their goals fit into them.

So we built the firm to answer those questions in one place. We manage investments. We prepare and plan for taxes. We administer retirement plans for the businesses those same families own. Most firms handle one of those and refer out the rest. We think that often the referrals are where the answers get lost, because the person on the other end never sees the whole picture and is not accountable for it. And why would they? The accountant is not responsible for making sure the attorney finishes the estate documents, and the attorney is not watching to see if the tax situation changed.

We are a family firm in Northville. Two generations of us work here. That is not a marketing detail. It means the conversations we have with clients about succession, about bringing a child into the business, about what you owe the people who helped you build it, are conversations we are having about ourselves at the same time. We are not reading about it in a case study. It also means the team getting you to retirement is the team getting you through retirement. We intend to be here for the part after the one that brought you to us.

What you should expect from us is plain language and a straight answer, including when the straight answer is that not doing anything is your plan. We will tell you what we do not know. We will tell you when something is outside our lane. We are not going to sell you a product to solve a problem you do not have.

What we want is for the thing you built to go where you meant it to go. For your money to eventually start working for you instead of the other way around. For your family to know what you were thinking, because you said it out loud while there was time.
