Room To Do The Whole Job

Most advisors we talk to are not unhappy with their clients. They are tired of handing off the work they cannot do alone, and tired of the work that keeps them from doing what drew them to the business in the first place. We built the practice so that does not have to happen.

Baldwin Capital Management has been independent in Northville, Michigan since 1990, affiliated with LPL Financial. We serve families and the businesses they own. Usually that is one client, not two.

Two Toolboxes, Both Staffed

FamOS® covers the family side: investments, retirement and income planning, estate strategy, and tax planning and preparation. Corporate Retirement Plans covers the other half, including education, plan design, administration, and compliance.

The tax practice and the third party administrator are ours. Same building, same team. When your business owner client has a plan design question and a tax question in the same meeting, we answer both. You do not have to become a TPA or a tax preparer to keep that client.

Seven People, One Office

You will work with all of them. Advisors here range from the founder to people early in their careers, so difficult cases get looked at by more than one person and no client depends on a single advisor. If you would rather spend your hours with clients than on the parts of the practice that are not client work, there are people here to take it.

Built and Running

We have capacity in the Main Street office and operations already running. A move here does not mean building your infrastructure back up before you can see anyone. We already built it. You can get back to the work you are good at.

What We Are Not

We are not a platform or an aggregator. Nobody here is going to repaper your clients into a model and route you to a service desk. Seven people means you will be a real part of a small firm, with everything good and inconvenient about that. Some advisors come to us in the middle of the build and some at the end. Both work here.
